Harvest Thanksgiving & Mortgage Burning Celebration
October 6, 2024At St. Paul’s there is lots to celebrate! Jim Melville had the distinct pleasure of delivering a cheque to the Diocese of Qu’Appelle. With this cheque, St. Paul’s became mortgage free after only 9 years and 11 months of acquiring a $1.1 million, 20-year mortgage for the construction of our offices and community centre. The faith and generosity of so many turned this vision into a reality and St. Paul’s wants to say THANKS! In conjunction with the Harvest Thanksgiving Service on October 6th, in which Bishop Helen is the celebrant and preacher, we will have a special gathering to give thanks to all those that donated so faithfully toward the Building in Faith project. We will also recognize and show gratitude to those that committed countless hours through the life of the project from conception around 2000 to retirement of the debt in 2024. We hope everyone can attend and join in this celebration of an astonishing milestone in the history of our Cathedral.
